Pull out two pantry staples -- sugar and chocolate. Then and stop by the market for a container of fresh ricotta and some crisp Italian biscotti from the specialty market. You don't only have to use chocolate when dressing up your ricotta. Try lemon zest, finely chopped mint, even sliced and macerated strawberries or rhubarb.
Sweet Ricotta with Biscotti
1 cup ricotta
2 tablespoons sugar, plus more to taste
About 1-2 ounces dark chocolate, shaved
Crisp biscotti for serving
